Michelle woke up this morning with blisters on her blisters on her blisters she was in a state, it looks like she'll be going around the zoo bare foot. When we arrived, we found some flip flops for Michelle but we had to make some alterations here and there cutting bits out so as not to chafe, whilst I was doing this Jake and Sophie had made friends with an iguana on the wall. Modifications complete I set off with Jake and Sophie to grab seats in the Crocoseum for the Wildlife show, eventually Linda & Michelle picked us out in the crowd and joined us. High up on the opposite side of the Crocoseum rangers were releasing Macaws into the air they immediately flew around the arena and then made a beeline across to us but as they flew above the crowd it was bombs away and the people in the first 3-4 rows were unfortunately victims much to the amusement of the hundreds of spectators in the arena. In addition to the Macaw display there were Eagles and of course the star of the show Crocodiles.
After the end of the show we all went around
the crocs compounds to see the different species, I must say they were very lethargic, perhaps they'd just eaten. As we wandered around map in hand we came to the Kangaroo and Wallaby compound, bought some roo food and that was it we were there for ages and had to go back for more food, the kids were enthralled, cuddling live roos, feeding them, stroking them, and having them roll over to have their bellies rubbed, awesome.
Having left the Kangaroo and Wallabies we then went to see the Koalas were one of the rangers was giving a talk about them, one little known fact she came out with was that Koalas have no feeling in their bum at which we were all invited quietly and gently to tickle a sleeping Koalas bum in a tree right in front of us, it's true he or she didn't flinch but thinking about it after, given the fact that they like to position themselves in the fork of a branch and drop off to sleep having a numb bum seems like a handy thing to have. We spent all day there and would have still liked longer, but it wasn't to
be as we needed to make tracks up to Noosa.
On arrival at the resort we discovered reception was shut although instructions to get our key were left for us, one of the rules of the resort was that vehicles had to be parked in the garage, interesting with a mini bus although we managed it just as long as everyone piled out first, because once in it was a squeeze for the driver to get out passengers had no chance. The advertised free Wi-Fi wasn't available as they hadn't left the code to log in, not a happy bunny.
