well the journey here has been an experience from the moment of stepping on the plane to our first few nights here in australia. We flew with China airlines which has made us sick and cant bare to face noodles, rice or the taste and aroma of oriental food, and everyone on the plane was of asian origin apart from us so we felt a bit left out and have both managed to pick up a nasty cold and snottie beaks which isnt nice mixing with the old jet lag!! ;-) our first two nights here, well you could say that we were the "elite flashpackers" in this gorgeous 4* hotel in the city centre with shower potions and lotions everyday, a plasma huge tv and a really nice queen size snuggle bed.....we were beginning to settle in nicely!! .........but just missing the old mr sunshine who still seems to be hiding somewhere behind the clouds and rain so not much tan business goin on as yet!!! or the heat to burn off these dreadful snottie shivers! .... and then reality has set in today when we had to move into our well what we thought was one of the more upmarket hostels!! ......but to our disappointment it has turned out to be the most basic...on the lines of barracks....or as we would put it "a sh*t hole" with ripped carpets, gravity walls, un filled walls, patchy paint and damp smelling aromas mixin with fustiness and grotty walls and carpets and horrible showering facilities.....were just dreading finding that cockroach or lizard in our beds!!! ......a bit of a difference to last nights superb accommodation.....nothing like droppin us in at the deep end! ...so us maybe being wimps and not braving it to the max perhaps....but weve decided to leave one night earlier than planned as weve achieved Brisbane, got the tired out muscles to prove it and have resorted to "Hungry Jacks" (Burger King) twice and dont want to make it a hatric!! nevertheless we move up the coast to Noosa so hopefully we might enjoy it there that bit better!! mind you today's visit to the koala sanctuary has been really lovely and cute and a great experience feeding the kangaroos out of our hands which our pictures will follow soon on facebook :-) ..........tomorrow's visit to the Castle XXXX beer factory might have been timed right to help contribute to soon shut eye to prevent us from facing the reality of been in this horrible place!! xxxx

Early Days
Now you know how I feel about the smell of Oriental food, I can not see Crutchlow flying Chinise Airlines. Bad news about the hostel, pity you could not stay in hotels, I'am sure when you move on the standard of hostel will improve. Keep you chins up it is very early days and I am sure when the sun comes out and you shake off your colds you spirits will lift. Thinking of you both.
