Making Head Way... A Month Gone!!!!

G'Day All as they say here in the Sunshine State that the locals call home - Queensland.

We have made our way North from Sydney leaving behind NSW and there bad weather and moving into warmer climates.

The locals say its the coldest they weather have experienced in years here in Queensland, well 19 degrees in Winter is not bad and will do us! Warmer weather still to come further up North.

Syndey if your not aware is very Multi Cultral and is a very busy city and we had good fun, expeirenceing everything from the beaches of Bondi and Manly to Shark diving, city tours, Street entertainment on Circular Quay, ferry trips and bizarrly a trip into an Ice bar with tempertures of -15.

We hired a car to drive up from Syndey to Brisbane, a total drive of over 1000km ( Dover to say Aberdeen) if not further, driving is alright except for the big ass trucks that go faster than the cars and over take you on single lane roads in the driving rain!!! - Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stopped off to try and master the art of Austrailia's favourite past time - surfing! I we didn't do too badly we have pictures as evidence.

We are currently staying just North of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast, which is less well known than its big brother the Gold Coast which is south of Brisbane. For us the sunshine coast wins hands down less cheesy and more laid back.

The next few days are we are going to be big Kids, we are heading to DreamWorld and the surronding theme parks, basically rollercoasters and waterparks. Lets not forget State of Orgin 3 - those of you who are a bit naive to this beautiful event, this involves the best players from NSW and Queensland pitting themselves against each other in Rugby League. Its massive over here, think Newcastle vs Sunderland!
