Brisbane skyline by night.
The view from the balcony just outside our hostel room in the suburbs of Brisbane. We were only a 10 minute walk into town. Brisbane is such a lovely city. We are staying in a big house that's been converted into a hostel. It's got great views of the city. Most of the buildings here are really modern but there are some really pretty old buildings too which are just mixed in with the sky-scrapers. There's a lagoon and beach in the city which is really strange but nice! People go to the beach and sunbathe or swim in the lagoon on their lunch break! The city is starting to get really busy with Brits now as the Ashes series starts here on 24th. When we go to Melborne in the new year we're going to a one-day international match-obviously tickets for the Ashes are impossible to get hold of.
it's really hot here compared to the Gold Coaxt-around 30 degrees. It's nice! We've just been looking at all of the sights in the city over the past few days really. We went on a cruise down the river which was nice and also to the city botanical gardens. It's really hard to believe that it's late November when you're in the sunshine!

Practicing?
Judging from the perfomance so far, I don't think you just missed seeing the England team practicing as they couldn't have practiced at all.
