I spent my day on the Brisbane river on a cruise boat going to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
I walked to South Bank and had breakfast at a place in South Bank.
The Cruise boat ride out to the koala sanctuary was really nice I had a seat downstairs with a nice window view and the breeze that comes with that.
The recording used as a tour guide was fairly good. There are some amazing homes next to the river.
One of the houses apparently sold for AUS$ 11 Million last year. Just look at the pictures and you will see why.
The river was rather busy there was a whole lot of people with motorboats and people in those long row boats and some people water skiing.
The Koala park turned out to be a zoo like most other zoos I have visited. The Koalas where nice to see and the talks given where very informative.
The ride back was less pleasant because the boat seemed much fuller and there was nowhere to sit in the shade. And it was at the hottest part of the day.
After returning to the Cultural
center I walked to the South Bank Cinemas. On the way there I came across a South American festival going on. There was a stand selling Sugar Cain juice Mojito's and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I have had in a long time too bad it was one of those Virgin Cocktail's.
I watched the new Twilight movie thank goodness they have given up on the sparkly vampires. I found it a fairly lame movie. But I suppose I am not the target market. Way too much Romance and not enough Vampire.
On the way back to the Hotel I picked up another Mojito 😊
