Even though it was Sunday we were up and out of the apartment by 6.30am!!

The Tom Tom was predicting 12 hours for the 550 miles to Urangan and although we made some time up by slightly exceeding the speed limit a couple of breaks meant that we didn''t arrive until after 6.30pm

On the way we witnessed more and more miles of sugar cane! We stopped for lunch in Rockhampton for lunch. Its the beef capital of Queensland and one particular restaurant had been strongly recommended on Trip Adviser so we had lunch there and it was very good. Perhaps slightly strangley, they were showing cage wrestling on the large screens! Aussie's obviously love it! The beef was very good, made better by the fact that Stephanie and Tux paid for it.

Around 4pm we decided we need to check that we would be able to check in around 6.30pm. Despite numerous tries, we couldn't get through, before I realised that the number we were trying was a UK number!! When we finally arrived, there was no one around but some lads helped us ring a number to get help. The accomodation was a small townhouse and nicely furnished. Some of us popped out to get some food to eat in. We needed an early night!
