Lagoon
Airlie beach A 12 hr bus ride can be pretty boring... so i was glad i had Martin as a travel buddy. Although we stopped over in several places... mostly towns that had maybe an old granny walking the streets or an odd Fish and Chips shop... kinda funny! One stop we made was in the middle of the Night at a Gas station in the MIDDLE OF NOWHERE... there was nothing around but that gas station... oh well it works for some stretching and coffee and a cigarette! hahah
We arrived in Airlie Beach at around midnight... as we didn't know which hostel we were going to stay in we took the next best... BUSH Village ... sounded good n looked good on the little poster the chick had. And it was CHEAP ...TAKEN!!!
the next day we caught a lift into "town" (its actually just a long strip of road and thats it".
I checked into Aussie Sailing, so i ould take my sailing trip to the Whitsundays.
Chilled at the Lagoon ... then it started raining so we headed back to the bungalow
The following day Martin and i rented a scooter. Drove to Shute Harbour... which is
Bush village
Our little kitchen... Martin cooking stunning and then took a tour round Airlie... this place is def just a strip of road... coz as soon as u pass the little shopping centre by the Bi-lo (which is the only "big" grocery store around) there is hardly anything but a few houses tucked away behind trees.... the roads lead to properties that are on sale but nothing has been built! ... Although i must say there are a few houses that i'd live in any day! hahaahah
had a few games of pool that nite at Magnums.
