Hi everyone
After Catching the ferry from Magnetic Island i caught the coach to Airlie Beach, i arrived around 6pm and went straight to my hostel, i was so tired after the journey down i went to sleep really early that night, in the morning i went for a walk around the town which is really nice, people come to Airlie to catch a boat to the Whitsunday Islands which are just off the coast, my original plan was to head to the marina and get a last minute place on a boat because someone i met in Mission Beach said it works out a lot cheaper if you do it that way and it is but theres a reef festival on at the moment so every boat was full! So i booked myself in on a day boat on monday but after a bit of confusion about where the pick up was (my paperwork said pick up at hostel but it was actually from the bus stop down the road) i missed the boat and they didn't have anymore spaces available for the next day so i didn't get to see any of the islands especially White Haven which
i heard has been added as one of the 7 natural wonders of the world! So i was pretty gutted about that but i've still had a really nice time just hanging out and looking around, because the reef festivals on there are jazz bands playing in the street and events going on everywhere, there is also a 'Lagoon' just like the one in Cairns but this ones bigger and the view of the marina and the outlying islands is beautiful
Next i'm heading to a very oddly named place called 'Town of 1770' or Agnes Water as its also known which is about half way between here and Brisbane, to get there i'm catching a coach at 5 to midnight which will take just over 10 hours so i'll arrive at 10am wednesday! I'm Not looking forward to it at all but its the shortest one they do as some take over 30 hours to travel there!
Anyway i've got to go as i only paid for an hours Internet and its been two hours now and they haven't noticed yet but i don't want to push my luck
