uluruuluruuluru

looks exactly like it does in the picture
so the famous red centre:

we went to alice springs from where we went to the red centre where we saw uluru (which is ayers rock), the olgas and kings canyon. we saw each one over the 3 days and they were amazing sights to see.... the rock was just like u see in pictures.... we walked around the base which took about 1 1/2 hrs and there are so many flies... just tooooooooooo many, but we were lucky as it is coming up to winter now so there were many less than there there usually are, which means it must be awful in the summer! we saw the sunrise and set
there.. the setting was nicer i think and also cos we didn't
have to wake up at 5am to see it! but unfortunately my batteries
ran out so i didn't get many pictures of them.

we also walked through this valley on the 2nd day which was
pretty tiring but there were some pretty good views. my
favourite though was kings canyon which we saw on the 3rd day...
it was the longest but the views were amazing! it was over 3 hr
walk and it was

that cliff face is vertical... which we did not realise till we looked at it from the other side!
literally a canyon.... we had to walk up to the
top 1st, that bit was called heart attack hill, so u can imagine
how tough that was! but i think i am getting fitter as it
doesn't take as long to get my breath back now! there was a
vertical drop right down and i sat on the edge and dangled my
legs over the edge... which wasn't so scary to do but when i got
over to the other side and saw the what i dangled my legs over..
i dunno if i would do it again!!!

the whole trip was really good, we went in a mini bus with
about 20 people altogether and we slpet in swags which are thin
materesses with a thick canvass cover and a pillow. there was
no tent or anything so we literally slept at the camp site under
the stars, which was soooooo cool- i even saw a shooting
star!!!!

also one of my highlights was riding a quadbike in the
outback.... i have driven all kinds of things now! it was a bit
difficult to get the hang of but well worth it and loads of
fun!

was like we had landed on another planet! we had never seen this type of landscape before
