Wallaby
Pink Panther PubUp early in the New Year & Mark went to wake Travers who didn't show for breakfast as his alarm failed to go off! We failed to get to the thermal pools for a swim due to 2m of water on the road. We then headed to Larrimah to the Pink Panther Pub. The pub owner started rescuing animals and now has a little menagerie out back. Here we got to hold a Children's Python & a little Sugar Glider (who was just the cutest!) - although not too closely together! They had several lizards & snakes, many many birds including a Blue-Winged Kookaburra which we saw fed on the wing. There were two adorable wallabies hopping around the place that liked to be scratched on their bellies. Mark now thinks we need to get pet wallabies when we have a bigger place!!! We also got to see Salty Sam the croc getting fed, boy can he jump high! The Blue Tongue Skinks had laid eggs and a baby was found in the enclosure - tiny little thing! Not too wiggly to hold either. Travers was chatting to the guy there about getting a pet snake & ended up leaving with

Pink Panther Pub a young Children's Python of his own! This he named Leo & I got to play with him lots in the bus over the next couple of days!
Next stop was Daly Waters airstrip, one of Australia's first international airports! Now it's only used by the Royal Flying Doctors. Then it was around the corner to Daly Water's Pub for lunch. An interesting place where people have left flipflops (aka Thongs in Aussie), hats, ID cards & underwear on the walls! I also found a cute little lizard lurking out back 😊
We then stopped off at Mary Ann Dam for a swim before heading to a horse ranch where we were told to look out for Brown snakes (none were seen though) & scorpions (I found one of these at the loo block). Unforunately the boys block was out & only one of the two girls loos was working but luckily there were only 7 of us on the tour so this wasn't as bad as it could've been.
