Drunk in the Vic
Me and Craig....quality chap, saw some cricket with him in Melbourne recently Hello all...
Been a while i know! I have finally done Darwin for you to look at! Taking me ages as over here in South Africa they have the net in most places but its slow, so slow unless you are at a big city. In Port Elizabeth at the moment, leaving today for J-Bay for some heavy drinking sessions i think...heard its a bit of a party place! Oh well....have to oblige.
Anyway, these snaps are from october last year and taken over our few days we had in Darwin...actualy i think we were there a week! Loved the place, too hot mind you and there was no breeze! Our hostel was ok, bit too loud and full of large male groups...bit like a club 18-30's hotel but in Australia and not in Spain or ...er..Greece....right well, we went out a lot as you can see, had some good times in Darwin. Went on a jumping croc cruise aswell which was ace cause i didn'y even know they could jump! Quite infomative and a good couple of hours. The first night was awesome as all of our tour group met up for a night on the lash in
Drunk in the Vic...again
The 'Vic' was a pub that we all met up in after our four day trip to Darwin from Cairns...got messy
the Vic which is where we ate that night also, shite food but cheap(ish) alcahol made it alright!
The sunsets are from the shore of North Darwin and we got a good sunset every night, really beautiful. We also went to the Mindle Beach Markets and watched people playing with fire and looked around the hippy market, good night. Went to the cinema in Darwin, drank a lot, went on some day trips...and made some good friends. The trip to Litchfield NP was good, very hot but some excellent swimming holes were visited and we had a good day.
Next up is Alice Springs and Uluru...photos would have been on in the next hour but we have to leave to get to our next hostel....got a hire car the other day which is great...we had been travelling on the Baz Bus (the only backpacker transport system in SA) but now have a car which is so much better than the bus. Anyway, fingers crossed i get all these blogs done before i actualy get back home, which is very close now. I expect a party when i get back and a big fuss to be made....
.....Only
Chris and....Lucy!?
So sorry chris, not good with names! Anyway, these two were sweet as, good times kidding! Will be great to see everyone, can't wait. In the meantime, i'll go back to the sunshine of this beautiful country and will be in touch again soon.
Take care
Peace and love
