Perth - Darwin

Darwin in one word WOW..............its breathtaking I am hoping my pictures portray the beauty. Today I went on a Jumping Crocodile Cruise...I am sure you are asking yourself why would anyone teach a WILD crocodile to jump. The picture of the dingy is what most people go up and down on the river and if we are teaching crocodiles to jump surely they will then jump into the boats...... easy food. All the crocodiles are Salt water and will eat you. I would like to introduce Boris he is just over 6ft and about 60 years old (the is only appoximate as to find out the age of a crocidle you need to cut his leg off...a bit like a tree) Boris is missing his leg due to a run in with Agro, Agro is the head boy he is about 8ft long and he doesn't perform for anyone. He as taken a dislike to our tour operator voice as the story goes. Last but least there is thin Lizzy she is the one jumping for her food. Abit of Triva for you Crocodiles can hold there breath for up to 4 hours, they like nothing more than the act of surprise so will spend all day pretending to be a log. If you are unlucky to meet one your options are limited stick your hand down his throat and hope to drown him or play dead as crocodiles love a challenge there is nothing like a squirming, screaming human lunch. They are also a creature of habbit and will spend days watching you so if you go fishing go at different time and 500meters different each time. They are also lazy and don't have much stamina so I say run like the wind

After this adventure we went to Litchfield National Park and swam at Tolmer Falls. I meet Alistair who was from Melborne up for a friends wedding and he was an interesting travel compainion. The pictures say it all, words can not do it justice.

Darwin is a pleasent enough town but I didn't feel safe in the evening on my own so on Tuesday night I went for a walk along the Esplanade with Sally who was a fellow solo backpacker and watched the sunset a Mindil Beach.

I am off to Katherine Wednesday
