Long name, lovely country town with a population of about 3,000. Came around 200 Km here with a stop for a cuppa at Gilgandra. This area is described as the ‘astronomy capital of Australia’. The conditions are nearly perfect for observing the night skies. We are going to one of the 11 observatories tonight to do just that.
