Wollongong, NSW, Australia - 4/2/10

Hi!

Well, we finally left Manly and we've headed to Wollongong, about 80km south of Sydney, to stay with some other friends we've met while travelling.

We've also bought a car - a 1985 Ford Telstar TX5 - whom we have named Bruce. He's very brown inside but seems to work acceptably well and since as it doesn't have the traditional Aussie V8 we should be able to afford to drive it about!

As a quick update - we've generally done very little! We did a walk to Bondi beach on Saturday and on Sunday hired surfboards and gave that a go on Manly Beach with varied success. We both got to our knees/feet but standing proved to be a bit too much for us first time out!

We're now preparing for the trip down the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne and then (gasp) attepting to get some kind of employment so we don't starve in the final moths of our journey!
