We slept in, had a cuppa, then went to our favourite breakfast haunt (almost regulars) before making our way down George Street on foot. Visited the Queen Victoria Building which has been restored and filled with upmarket shops. It retains its tiled mosaic floors, stained glassed windows and old clocks, lighting etc (never been in such posh loos). The central feature of the complex was a three storey high Christmas tree laden with 2,400 Swarowski decorations, thousands of lights and it took 72 people three days to complete the look - seems strange seeing a Christmas tree when it's so warm. Always thinking of what cake to cook next, I bought myself an Aussie women's association cookbook so I can bake Yo Yo's and Lamington's when I get home. We walked around the Opera House, spent the afternoon in the Botanic Gardens followed by a guided tour of the 'Rocks' district. Curry in Darling Harbour followed by the 8.45pm showing of Thor 2 at the IMAX. Tomorrow we plan on having another relaxing day to save our shoe leather!
