Dear Zoyka
After hk I didn’t know what to expect from Sydney, will it be the similar to hk, or
not.. at the moment of arrival we had to
stay on the plane for a while because of an emergency that occurred during the
flight.. after finally entering the airport and Sydney, all wasted from the
long flight and the night before, I thought it would take a long time to get
through the border security (like on the tvshow:P), especially since I had to
declare that I stayed on a farm within the last 6 months and I also had
medicine with me, from which I didn’t know if they were prohibited or not, but
at the first moment of contact with the security I noticed it was nothing like
that, they were really cool and easy going, ‘hey, how are you? What kind of
medicine do you have, painkillers, aw all right, your dad has a farm, cool, go
on’:D and all the Australians I have met are just like that.. for example when
you bump into someone on the street, he is the one that
says immediately ‘sorry
mate’ at the same time.. so yeah the people are very relaxed here, and it seems
to be a demand here to have tattoos and piercings all over to get a job in the
travelers world haha..
Anyway my first hostel located in central Sydney was pretty cool, and luxurious, with 8
levels, plenty of toilets and showers and a nice bar/clubthing down at the basement.. I had a great time staying
there, I went on a citytour and a pubcrawl on the first day, it was fun.
Then Saterday September the 15
th came by, D-DAY, the day of DEFQON.1
australia yeaaaahhh:D just before I was
leaving the hostel I met a group of dutchies, which joined me, and I had a
great time, well not just great, pretty f*cking awesome actually:D and I have
to say it was my first kinda sober festival hahah, since beers were 10
dollars?! But still I had so much fun! I even partied with one of the deejays
from psyko punkz:D After that
we visited bondi beach which was awesome btw, the waves, jammie:D, I am
looking forward to surf so much.. hmmm..
anyway we went to the wildlife thingie where I saw real koalas, kangaroos and
more Australia-related-only-animals.. pretty cool thing to see! I also met my
friend Ara from syney, who took me to the highest tower, where I had a 360
degree view of Sydney, and to manly beach with the ferry afterwards.., I had a
great time..
yesterday we went on a trip to the blue mountains with an indiana-jones-a-like-guide.. (see for more info
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Mountains_(New_South_Wales))
the name comes from the blue haze from all the eycalyptus trees that kind of covers the mountains. we had an amazing and tiring day, containing a lot of hiking, I actually used my mountain boots for real for the first time:D also nice stories about aboriginals and the history of Australia, but also amazing wildlife scenery with huge mountains, pretty cool waterfalls and all kinds of animals.. once u will get here one day.. this is smth you should do for sure, well with the right guide😉
One thing though that I don’t like so much is that everything is soooooo expensive here..:P
Idk if I told
u everything, but I think I am almost there, if there is something I forgot, worth mentioning, I’ll let you know next time:D
anyway this was my update, the next one might take a little longer, because of my planning.. anyway hope u enjoyed reading it.. I am out.. take care xx
Hallootjes..
