Following another lovely overnighter on the Greyhound express, we checked into our 8-bed dorm in BIG Hostel and met Will, Ben and Sebastian. We located some focaccia for brekkie before heading to the Domain. This is an area of parkland in the heart of the city containing several museums. Our first port of call was the arts' museum. On entry we went straight to the basement floor (as you have to start somewhere) and discovered that a free film screening was about to start, hurrah! Carravagio was an interesting production. Its highlight being the presence of Dexter Fletcher.
The student exhibition was brilliant, but the best features were the bats on a rotary washing line and "Australian Beach" by Thomas Meere. Having seen everything on offer, we sauntered to the Botanic Gardens and saw Mrs. Macquarie's chair (what did she look out on? As the view must certainly have changed!). The evening was rounded off with bargain Dominoes pizza and TV!
