We arrived in Sydney last Thursday afternoon, and quickly hailed a taxi, which ended up costing $10 to go a couple of blocks...we think we may have been scammed here. We then got to our hotel, the Y on the Park (YWCA) which apparently had a kitchen. Hey both, Looks like your having a good time, minus the biting insects! Some of your pics have brought back lots of memories for me....especially darling Harbour and Watsons Bay (Also one of my fave places in sydney...but where I lost my rings in the sea!) Not a lot to report from this neck of the woods really. Huw and I are off Skiing in Jan! there is a group of 10 of us...quite a random group but should be good! I am still settleing in to my new job in the uni, it is a bit boring but i'll see how it goes. Anyway keep me posted! so to speak. Lot's of love. lizzie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well jealous looking at you pics of Sydney (and the rest of the east coast), bringing back loads of memories. Can't believe you havn't had a night out in Kings Cross part of Sydney. Gotta love that part of town !!!

Sydney looks fab, i love seeing your pictures! Your sense of humour is fantastic, made me chuckle- a lot! You both look really happy too ahhh. Soo NZ hey! Flat finding! Haloween last night, loads of kids came round, i made sure everyone had a few sweets each (knowing there would be enough for me after) while jon gave kids handfuls, how selfish, there were none left for us after! Are they celebrating much of xmas there yet? would love to see pictures! decorations are everywhere here! tinsel has officialy gone up on the aber street lamps now! Jon- kate next door is preganant 2 months gone! Have a safe journey to NZ! Love you lots G + J XX
