Beats Per MinuteBeats Per MinuteBeats Per Minute

Set up inside the Studio. They had a smoke machine going so it is kinda foggy.
Ok~ So I haven't written an entry for awhile I've been too busy. Last week we went to the Opera House to see the show Beats Per Minute. This show is not inside the big halls, but in the Studio. THe studio is like a stage in the basement. It was an awesome show though. IT was an urban dance and music performance. There were 3 amazing tap dancers (2 guys and a girl) that danced to a live band. The singer of the band was Asian and she had an awesome voice, plus she rapped too. IT was soooo cool, probably something you would see in New York or something, definatly not Indiana. So I went with Megan, Dana, and Linzy to that. We ate a really nice dinner before that, like wine and pasta. We got really dressed up since thsi was at the Opera Hosue and we didn't know what to expect, but most people there wore jeans. And when you go inside the studio, there are only a few places to sit besides that you stand around the 3 stages where they perform. So basically we were over dressed, but it was fun! Then on Friday night

we went on a harbour cruise. It was like a huge party boat, there were over 200 people on it, from around the world. It was one of those deals where you pay for your ticket and then dinner and all your drinks are included. So that was awesome, because they had a dance floor and everybody was our age and it was fun. But I did get sick at the very end 😞 I was fine until Dana got sick, but I can't handle boats anyway. Before we got on the boat we were soaking wet b/c it was pouring! It was so funny b/c we are all sick of the rain b/c we get so much at home, but here they are in a drought and have a serious water shortage so they like cheer when it begins to rain. Since it has been raining here all week so that cuts down on the amount of stuff we can do. Plus I had a paper due at the beginning of this week and a presentation next week. OH, also on Friday we went to the Botanical Gardens to have an Aborignal Walk through for our spirituality class. That

was neat, because we had an Aborignal guide and he could tell us the purpose of all of the plants and we got to eat some Bush tucker (food) like berries and leaves and stuff. So that was interesting. Me, Kyle W., Megan, and Linzy went to the Australian Musuem last week. But that was really boring, it would be neat if you liked science thoug. THey had a big display of bugs, and a display on evolution, and bones, and stuff like that. Yesterday, we had another field trip this one was for the art class. We went to this gallery to look at Aboriginal works, but it was really small and they just wanted to sell the artwork. It wasn't imformative or anything. But the neat thing about going to it was that it is out at Bondi Beach. I love Bondi Beach it si gorgeous and there are all these little shops out there, it is also the location of the largest mall in Sydney. We would have stayed longer but it was raining and we had to come back for Communications. Coming up this week, Kyle W. and I are going to the Powerhouse Musuem tomorrow.

Then, Saturday I am going to see Joyce Myers speak. Sunday, we are going to La Perez to buy authentic Aboriginal artifacts (I want a bommerang). Thats basically it, except for homework 😞 I can't belive that my time is almost up (July 18th), I am having a blast here. Besides the fact that half of our group sucks... but the other half is awesome! I made a lot of new friends. GTG~ p.s. so excited for the 4th! We are all going out together as a large group in red, white and blue!
Oh, hopefully now i have at least one picutre of everybody that I talk about, so you have a face with a name!
