Dear all !!
Hope everyone’s well??, I’ve heard it getting a bit cold over in UK now? Getting g frosty in the mornings and settling into winter. Well its what, 7 weeks or so to Xmas, so I hope your all out, being goog and getting your Xmas presents early to avoid the oh so mad and inevitable rush in the last few days. Xmas is going to be weird this year, for 3 reasons, Firstly, Its going to be hot, and I mean HOT! Which I’ve never experienced before, I’m used to going for Greg and my self’s traditional Xmas morning run in the freezing cold. The second, is that it’s the first xmas away from my parents and family. I guess I was never always going to live at home, but being with them is what xmas is, and always has been, I’ll definitely miss my mum’s xmas dinner. I’ll hopefully find somewhere that will sell me one, or I’ll have to try cook one myself! And thirdly, Xmas eve, the annual buffet and drinks for everyone, and those how know and who normally attend will miss it too, the nibbles and beers/sherry in the dinning room, normally with silly hats etc…but never mind. This xmas will be one to remember, for being different.
So yeah, been up to lots this week, its busy again, had a few weeks of less photo gig’s but its all going well now. Studios been good to, done some cool stuff. Hope you all liked my last few photo intense blog entries, just a idea of what sydney’s like this time of year. Well im terms of gig’s I shot Johm Mayer the other night, which was very cool, he’s really good. Amazing guitarist, really bluesy, and I recon he could jam with the best of them like santarna, and clapton etc Got some way cool black and white shots, all of which can be seen on my flickr site:

I also went to rebel rebel last night which is a rock club night at one of the biggest clubs in Sydney called HOME. I believe it was or is owned by Paul Oakenfold, and is located right in a heart of darling harbour, the stage, or back of the stage looks out over the harbour, so the band cant see it but everyone watching the band can! Great place! That gig was the Inches, Dukes of Windsor and Gersey. All were very cool, and again, got some good material. On the gig note, I’ve got possible the biggest band to shot on Tuesday, Pearl Jam, and for those of you who don’t know who they are..well, you should. Talk about a good on for the portfolio, so the pressures on for good shots.
Dhiraj set sail the other week (2weeks ago) and has not been posted to fuji, so he’s not going to be back for a while, changing all his dates etc, but that’s what you get for being in the army.
The weather has been rubbish the last part of this week, rain, and just generally overcast, so I hope it sorts its self out for when my parents come out to visit this week. There flying out on Tuesday And visiting Melbourne first, then heading up to Sydney for a week Monday, really really looking forward to seeing them, its been quite a few months now!
As all of you will of noticed, the other week the clocks changed, well over here they changed to, but here they went the other way, make sense I guess, but this also means that instead of being 9 hours ahead, I’m now 11hours ahead!! Which is a bit more of a pain in the arse for phoning home etc, but its ok.
Been getting my own songs ready for recording at Sony recently, just sorting out a few things before we hit the studio, hopefully I’ll have a great sounding recording of my stuff for when I return, so really looking forward to that, recording bass tomorrow..
Apart from that , that’s about it, thinking of buying a goof flash for my camera, its becoming a need for the low light stuff I’m doing recently. So I’m trying to find a bargin at the mo for the one I want.
I hope everyone’s well, keeping busy I guess, if you know anyone who’s not getting this blog, def let me know and I’ll send them the link over. Its not long until Harriet come out too, she’s coming out for Xmas and Newyear, so I cant wait for that!!
Keep the emails coming, let me know what you’ve all been up to.
Tim
