(Ok - hands up - so we had to have Pie Face at 22:00 whilst before retiring around midnight)
We woke at 04:30 then slept again till 9:00 - a slightly warmer day weather wise, but raining slightly.
Brian made tea and the crusts of the raisin bread and we were out for 11:00 ish.
We walked across Hyde Park and into the Botanical Gardens before cutting across to Circular Quay.
The light rain had cleared a bit whilst we waited for the 12:00 ferry to Manly where the beach is reputed to be good.
We arrived at 12:30 and headed for the Tourist Information Centre near the wharf to dodge a shower.
By the time we'd walked up The Corse towards the main surfing beach it was time for lunch!
Very nice tomato and onion bruchetta then barra and chips for me and surf and turf for Brian.
I got the 'surf' as it was two large prawns looking at Brian and he didn't want them after I'd peeled them.
We wandered up the beach so far and the sun came out so was a pleasant walk, before heading back to the ferry.
Stopped for toasted

Palace Gardens path Macquarie St Sydney banana bread and latte before getting a full 15:15 ferry.
We just dodged another shower and got back for 16:00 in time for a siesta before going out at 19:45 to meet a friend from last time we'd kept touch with.
Whilst in our usual bar chatting the heavens opened creating an Oxford street river.
We got back for midnight after a (Brian led) Pie Face - weeelll we had been drinking!
