Arriving at Sydney

After an overnight flight where I was again unable to sleep I arrived at Sydney airport around 7 am half a hour later than scheduled. Fortunately my parents flight from San Francisco was also slightly delayed, the net result was that less than 5 minutes after passing customs they also passed and we met up without issue.

From there we caught a minibus into the city and were at the hotel well before check-in time. We left the bags and went wandering around the city getting our bearings by visiting Darling harbour, the Rocks and Circular Quay.

After grabbing lunch it was back to the hotel to check-in and an afternoon nap to catch up on the missing sleep.
