Flowering Jacaranda tree outside Victoria Barracks This is getting to be a habit!
By the time we got to sleep around 04:00 it was 11:58 by the time we woke - we got to see the morning this time at least...
Pulled round after 14:00 and thought it too late for the beach (it was sunny but with patchy cloud)
Decided to wander eastwards till we got sick.
Wandered up Oxford St, through Darlinghurst and stopped for a latte and toastie near Paddington Town Hall - Sydney's version of the district is much posher with boutiques lining the street.
Walked to the end of Oxford Street through Woollhara into Bondi Junction. Then decided to continue down Bondi Road and ended up at Bondi Beach around 17:30
It was warmer than last Christmas Day and not alot of people around, mainly surfers taking advantage of the cool wind.
Got the bus back, and out for our fave - you guessed it! - fish and chips at the Blue Fish Cockle Bay Wharf.
This time we got the set menu which includes 2 glasses of wine (I had those!) and mini rhubarb and mascarpone shortcake.
His nibs had 2 Buds instead of the wine - only $82

Entrance to Victoria Barrracks - say it quickly it doesn't sound much!
Was just letting the wine take effect when was 'woken up' at 21:00 by unexpected firework display in the Harbour - lovely, pity didn't camera.
Brian was determined to have icecream, so went to the Harbourside and had my arm twisted into 2 scoops of Movenpick.
Got back to the hotel for 22:30 to check if we have anywhere to stay next week - phew they've confirmed 😊
