april 21 last nite midnite dark quiet carpark between two trailersailers, rainy, car came in and parked with headlights full on carly, it woke me. two blokes rushed over, rain increased, one smashed passenger window. then they realised i was there and fled leaving the hammer behind (which i found next morning). covered in glass shards, rain came in the gash, i propped cardboard to stem it and brushed off self, sheet and blanket for a sound sleep. morning tape job to hold shattered window together til i got to wreckers. so $110 later back thru deewhy global lunch spruik, beer, then foreshore under great invaders the norfolk pine now iconic throughout the land. great swaths of suburbs grazing the hills. i prefer paperbark and casuarina sheltering the shore. for here we can sculpt a future in green, an emerald necklace around our land. shurely she is worth that mate. red of billy hughs and jack lang. evening in yc book, beer and heaps of free sandwiches delicious. of course more rain.
