After our early night, we both woke up very early this morning. We were down on the beach taking bphotographs of the sun rising! Went back to room and had breakfast, then went back to the quay and booked a cruise to see the dolphins. ($100) This was about 8.30 so we had a couple of hours to pass. Went into Nelson Bay and looked around. Bought sun screen and went to an internet place. Pottered back to the quay and had a coffee at the ajoining cafe. Port s
Boarded our boat the "Tamboi" and went for a sail around Port Stephens. Saw lots of dolphins - magical. They live in Port Stephens all the time. The captain of our boat was a young man whose father weas skippering one of the other cruise boats He told a story of his father getting stuck on a sandbank once in the miuddle of the bay wher the water is under 6 feet deep. Apparently they were stuck for hours with 90 odd passengerts!!! E.njoyed the cruise very much. Went back to Motel for a sandwich and then to the beach.
It was absolutely wonderful, and VERY hot. I lay in the shallow watrer where little waves were breaking - stuff dreams are made of. Chris went in the sea.
Went back and sat on the swing next to pool at Motel. My "place", I love to sit there and listen to the birds which are VERY noisy!!
Went to pub in Nelson Bay, rang Michael. Concerned about spider webs in the dark if we walked back the way we went, so tried to go back another way after buying groceries. Didn't work, so ended up going the spider way back - it was OK though.
