On the headland looking south towards Coffs The coincidence that we were in the Coffs Harbour area when the premier rally event on the Australian calendar was being held had to be taken advantage of. The start of the event (World Rally Championship - Australian round) was on Lenny's birthday so it seemed feasible that we would take in some of the action while we were in Coffs.

WRC Drive - the service park drove back to Moonee Beach (just north of Coffs) where we would stay for the next two nights. A council owned caravan park right on the beach with all of the amenities renewed including a new camp kitchen. We had a great view from our site which was the closest to the beach. We settled in and then decided to go for a walk to the bluff to see the surfers. We walked over a little bridge and then through a pocket of rainforest before coming out to a grassed bluff with views up and down the coast and out to the island and lighthouse. The grass was soft with flowers peeking up to catch the last of the afternoon sun. It's a really pretty spot.
