Some ramblings …

The counter on our profile page keeps ticking over - in the interval between one trip and the next I get very restless as I am sucked back into the vortex of day to day life and saving for the next adventure. I certainly don't want to wish my life away - but waiting drives me a bit nuts!

Hey, not that life back home is so bad - winemaking, fun with friends, it's all great - but that bug is biting and keeps a part of my mind wishing I was on the road.

Winemaking …

Now - on the winemaking front we have our Cabernet Sauvignon tucked away ageing in barrels. We also have a really interesting batch of fruit wine we are experimenting with - a blend of apple and blackcurrant - it has a really uplifting palate and in about six months or so will make a great aperitif or desert wine. Label name will probably be "Mélange de Pomme et Cassis”.

Relay for Life …

We have entered a team in our local Relay for Life, which is to raise funds for the Cancer Council of NSW

to aid cancer research. Our team will spend 24 hours walking around Hawkesbury Showground next weekend.

We have been raising funds through a host of avenues - raffles, sponsorship and naturally enough we are selling some “Relay for Life” limited release wines as well. A crisp white Sauvignon Blanc/Trebbiano blend and a full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon red. 100% of the profits from the wine will go to the Cancer Council.
