Why are people homeless?!

Has anyone stopped at a red light or some type of intersection and seen someone begging for money? Well I have and each time I wonder to myself, why are they poor or homeless as they say?
There is basically one answer to this question, and it's how the economy has gone down the drain. Millions of people have lost there jobs because the united states is in a recession. We were and seems according by the statistics we are close to going into one yet again. People have lost there jobs because job businesses have been terminated. Or because they do not have enough money to be paying for Positions they really don't need. I chose this article because we as fellow Americans need to teach one another. Create jobs to help others. We can create opportunities so that they can help there families. Pay the minimum wage and they could afford a apartment in which they could have a place for there families.
