The article we read this week had a lot to do with the division of classes within a society. In class we discussed the difference between each era. In this article it relates to the things we discussed in class because in this society they favor the divisions of jobs. The males tipically are higher ranked in society then the women. People in India have little to no choice to what they want due to the strict rules and laws set in place by religion. The Dalits are people who have "missed placed" in society, relating to the united states we put the criminals into prison and the others in a psychiatric facility. What interested me the most about the article is the punishments given to women. My family typically treats women as an equal, it goes against my moral beliefs to see the damages caused by societies who do not value every human.
