Day One In Calgary

Hi Everybody. It's the 16th of June and we are starting out for a 13 day vacation. Last night we stayed near the airport in Denver to catch an early flight out. We were on a tiny jet (66 seats) but the flight was smooth. We arrived in Calgary close to noon. It is very cloudy and rained here all day. It made the sight seeing pretty damp and miserable. Steve and I walked the streets of downtown, shopped and took pictures. After we were pretty soggy, we came back to the Fairmont Palliser Hotel (very grand) to dry out. Tonight we are heading for dinner at the top of the Calgary Tower. It will be a great view of the city while it rotates around once per hour. We plan on a nice anniversary dinner.
