More to do in Pagosa Springs

Our granddaughter Kelsey and her friend Sean came to visit for the weekend. We had a great time teaching them Pickleball. We went white water rafting on Saturday and for a hot air balloon ride on Sunday. A great time was had by all.

Rafting the San Juan River
This was a lot of fun. There was not as much white water as we have had in the past but it was still fun!

Fishing this river was fun but this is great ! Prepare to be wet, VERY VERY wet !!

Now we are really WET !! I have to say that Sean was the first to man up, taking the WET seat in the front of the raft ! Way to go Sean !

Hot Air Balloon Ride
It was a beautiful sunny day for a balloon ride. We were part of the "crew" and helped to inflate the balloon and then deflate it after the ride and pack it away.

The old Railroad Bed
In the beginning days of the town of Pagosa Springs, the trains stopped here and let off the cattle and sheep and then went on into town.

If you look closely you can see the propane flame shooting heat up inside the balloon. It looks like a ray of light.

Landing
After a smooth landing, going through two trees that we could reach out and touch, and setting down on a dirt road, we were safely on the ground.

Kelsey and Sean wanted to pretend that we crashed so they were clowning around on the ground after the balloon was on its side.
