Montezuma's Revenge can hit you anytime and anywhere you are traveling. It spoils a trip more than any other ailment. When you travel "south of the border" you have more chances for stomach trouble so proceed with caution. Two days before you enter a new country take an anti-acid of some kind to coat your stomach. Then keep the same kind of tablets in your pocket. Everyone knows the first rule of a healthy trip: Don't drink the water! Stick to bottled water or liquid in cans or bottles. Forget about ice in any kind of drink. Eat only fruit that can be peeled and cooked vegetables. Avoid street food, lettuce and strawberries. To stave off hunger always carry nuts and bananas, which you can find in any country of the world. Bon Bon Voyage!
