On my most recent trip to Sacramento for some rafting on the American River, my friends and I stopped at a little diner named Jim-Denny's.
Reading and referencing the book Hamburger America by George Motz, we had decided to venture to this little diner for their so named famous Superburger. Little did we know that they were still serving breakfast when we arrived at 10:30. Being told that we would have to wait 30 minutes to get lunch, we decided to have some of their delicious looking breakfast and get a burger and share when it was lunch time.
My girlfriend Amanda and I ordered the Scott’s “Just Right” Breakfast, deciding to share it between the two of us.
My co-worker Mary ordered the PJ’s “Just a Little” Breakfast.
While my other co-worker Dominique and her son Alex ordered the Scott’s “Just Right” Breakfast and a Breakfast Burrito.
When we ordered our food, we didn't realize how big the pancake was, we were soon outright astonished. It was at least 9" or 10" in diameter, bigger than any pancake I have seen before. Amanda and I were glad we shared, and even we two couldn't finish the entire pancake

Alex and Dominique decided to share the pancake order, but unfortunately was not able to cancel the order of the breakfast burrito (which was no push-over either weighing in at most likely 5 pounds) and could not eat it.
When breakfast was over, and we were all stuffed and needed to be wheeled out, we ordered 1 of their Old Fashioned 5 Cent Burgers, which is a smaller version of their famous Superburger. It was split 5 ways as it was the initial reason we went there in the first place.
It was to die for.
The small burger was so delicious that I would be willing to take the 6 hour drive to Sacramento just to have that burger for lunch.
For a brief bit of history, Jim-Denny's was established in 1934 by a man named Jim Van Nort. After 70 years, and 3 owners, the restaurant is still the busiest "10 seats in Sacramento". They are also using the same corner grill that Jim started with, which gives these burgers and even their pancakes, a taste that no one can beat,
