JUNE . JULY . 2015 HIGHLIGHTS

I had a wonderful vacation with family and friends at home. I was able to go on a 5 day ocean kayak trip, camping, hiking, hangout downtown with friends etc. It was so nice to be back home to see and catch up with almost everyone. At the end of my time, I flew down to Oregon State to MC a friend’s wedding. I know the couple from Indo and the other friends whom I met up with flew in from all over America to attend. It was neat to see each other in the NA context but four days later we all saw each other again back in Indo, on a different continent entirely!



*The photos below are from our 5 day ocean kayak trip. Ten of us adventured out and enjoyed the natural beauty the coastline has to offer. We saw porpoises, seals, sea lions, jelly fish, eagles, sea stars, fish etc. We had amazingly clear and very hot weather all week except for the last morning when the skies were nothing but a thick haze from the nearby forest fires. All day it was this yellow hue – the photos have no filter as it was that yellow!

Ocean Tide
Crazy picture taken from our campsite DAY 2. Extreme tidal change of 16 feet, we couldn't believe how high it went! We had to move most of our kayaks three times as the day went on from the time we arrived at the campsite to when we went to bed.
