Widowed in 2008, I decided to pursue the dream my husband and I had of traveling. I took to the road in a 24 foot RV and haven't looked back. I had three goals: visit all my numerous cousins, visit all the lower 48 states and complete my bucket list. remembering covered bridges and tombstones
your blog brought back memories of our visit to the village and cemetery of President Silent Calvin. Simplicity and dignity. In my first parish in Monroe,Conn, about 1965, I spoke to a stone cutter working in our cemetery. He spoke about how he and his family had designed and worked on the Cemetery Monument for the President. He then cut a tombstone fro me and my family, which we use for our mother's grave. BTW we have a beautiful covered bridge here in the village of Newfield, just south of Ithaca, in central New York.
