It is good luck if the bride brings the following items:

Something new which signifies the new life that she will start and representing new goals.
Something borrowed which represents the love of others towards her, and those who will be by her side as she moves to her new life with her husband.
Something blue which meant purity during the ancient times.
Something she has received as a gift that will remind her of the people she loves.


Wedding rings
Tradition to show loyalty between the groom and the bride.
Put on index finger because it was believed that there was a vein from it that led straight to the heart. The men usually kept the rings until the wedding day. The rings would be carved with the wedding date and the others name. The rings then  would be carried to the alter to be blessed.
Wedding gown
In the 19th century white was worn to show purity however around the world different colors are worn for their one reasons.
Wedding veil
Used to cover the brides face so that the groom is unable to see her until the end of the ceremony. The veil then is passed down to the next generations
