1.) this article is basically a modern day description of what we are talking about. The caste system that was started by Hindus way back when is still present today.
2.) Hindus would probably react differently than we would in class because the system is based off of their religion, so they are more likely to agree with. We, on the other hand, would be less accepting.
3.) the treatment of the Dalits reminds me of the time period directly following slavery. That kind of discrimination only about 15 times worse.
4.) what I wondered about this article is a weird concept. Since this system is based off of their system and even the government believes in it how do the Dalits feel about being treated this way. I'm sure they don't enjoy being embarrassed daily, but do they believe it's like their destiny because according to the religion they believe in they are supposed to be treated this way.
