Now that I've finished my retail job, I can focus more on getting things ready for my departure. I was sent a very helpful checklist from the school I'll be working for, and here's what I have left to do:
- Get rain boots
- Call the bank to see what arrangements can be made
- Make final decisions re: what clothes/shoes/etc I'll take (I do have to plan for the whole year)
- Decide what books/pictures/posters to take to make the apartment more homey
- Double-check everyone's addresses and emails and test out gmail's mass-messaging features
- Re-read organize all the information on taxes, insurance, etc.
- Last, but not least, I really need to brush up on my Japanese!
It's eerie to think that in a couple of weeks I'll be in Japan...
