After suddenly left camp and i went home to see my father in PA since he had gotten really sick. I stayed there for a while and worked with my mother's husband doing some pick up construction and saw old friends. Got to take a trip with many friends from highschool out to the shore for a weekend of relaxing and hanging out together.

re-fell in love with Rumi thanks to a book by SARK.

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.

A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.

Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.

The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
Meet them at the door laughing and invited them in.

Be greateful for whatever comes.
Because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond."

Then i met up with Travis in Philly and we drove to Connecticut to see Martin and get ready for his wedding. The wedding
was madness and nonstop doing of things. Travis got to reconnect with a lot of people he haddnt seen for a while. And while we were there, the hurricane passed by the coast and we got to swim in some huge swells that could, and did, rip your clothes off.

Day after the wedding - i turned 24!

Martin let us borrow his extra car while they were away and we got to go up to Boston to visit some folks. I got to meet Ray, one of Travis's old friends, and reconnect with Side-A. I also got to see Crystal, Dave C, and Dan - old friends of mine from my Northeastern/Boston days.

Then we drove out to Amherst and saw kelsey and her buu. We watched freaks and geeks and played with her spikey hedgehog. It was amazing to see her face again and i realized how long it had been.
How does time pass like that?
It had been years...
It made me feel old, thinking of years as not that much time.
It made me miss so many people and wish i could see them more often,
made me so grateful for staying in touch

Travis and i had to return the car to Martin so we drove back down to CT. On my way there i called Dave, my hitchhiking brotha from alaska. He had just returned back from hiking for the last month in California and was now moving out of his tent and renting someones unused second home for the winter. He lived only 20 minutes or so from Martin. So we went there for a few days.
Seeing Dave,
Driving in his companies huge trucks, down mountains.
Exploring huge wooden boats and holding ferrets.
And hanging out with all his new, free, furniture. Livin rich. Indulging.
man...
and then Josh came.
T, D, and J in one room.
It was wonderful and full of good moments.

We said goodbye to Dave and heading on. We camped at a sketchy place in PA -
outdoor string lighting and trailers...
one man...
Trash barrel fire
Owner up the road whose huge bellied and boxer wearing.
but a free place to camp and massive fire pit.
So we camped, and roasted corn and nibbled on pieces of bread for dinner,
and then ate it raw for breakfast.
Good moments.
Then on to Kalamazoo to meet Liz.
