It was fun to see the Magic Kingdom through a child's eyes.
In late March, we visited the Magic Kingdom with Mark, Heidi and Alex and went to Epcot by ourselves. We got to keep Alex for a few days while mom and dad had another adult getaway. We loved our baby fix, especially when he said “Grandmama,” (OK-- manmama), which made Diane beam.

In April, we were back on the road. We stopped at a Casino RV park in Louisiana, or should I say Trailer Trash Central. All the neighbors were boiling crawfish, and their kids were running around half-nekkid. (The crawfish did smell great, however.) We scooted out of there and headed to Kerrville, TX where we saw Ken, Ellie, Dee and Kathy and began planning our Alaska RV trip.

We also visited the boys in Texas. We helped Stephen pack for his move to San Francisco—quite a change for him. Dan served us wonderful venison medallions one night and is also brewing his own beer, so we expect tastings next time we’re in town.

We spent a few days in Santa Fe, where we met Jim, Chris, Fred and Betty. We caravanned to Mesa Verde National Park, toured the cliff dwellings, and shared stories, laughs, and meals.

It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small, small world............

Denver was next. We did some museum-hopping, stocked up on staples for Alaska, and hung out with Jim and Chris. We then headed north to Fort Collins, where we quaffed a pitcher of our favorite chili beer at Coopersmith's. With nephew Michael and wife Ashley, we had dinner at a great little Mediterranean dive called Yum Yum and breakfast at a tiny New Orleans-style cafe called Lucille's. Both were outstanding!

Next stop, Buffalo, WY. We'll stay a while before heading to Montana to begin our northern adventure.
