As much fun we had at camp we were really excited to start the next leg of our travels and we hit the road running. We rented a car and drove out to Atlanta, Georgia, it only took about 3 ½ hours and we had stayed with Rodney from Couchsurfing. As we didn’t get there till early evening we just went out for a bite to eat and had a pretty early night. The next day we went to the Martin Luther King JR National Historic Site which was expertly displayed and were learnt a lot about the civil rights movement and the man himself.. We spent the afternoon wandering through the massive Piedmont Park. It had Lakes, sporting fields, cycling trails and many large, grassy areas. The day was capped off with a couchsurfing get together at a local pub. We took advantage of $3 PBR jugs (beer) and bargain cheap food. We met several other members and had a good chat and laugh.
