Nicholas Peters and Tessa Brudevold-Iversen We had this holiday a while back, but decided to put some of the pics on the net since we had kept them mostly to ourselves.

We flew into LA and picked up a drive-away car, a late model Subaru Forrester. We drove from LA to the Grand Canyon, through New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana etc. and ended up in Fort Lauderdale moments before Hurricane Katrina started belting the coast. We swapped cars for a small hatch-back and caned it up to DisneyWorld. We spent half a day rushing from ride to ride and then drove north for 16 hours straight in order to avoid the hurricane. We drove up to Washington D.C. where we stayed with Tessa's family for a few days, then took a bus to Boston to see more family and sat on the Green Monster and first base to watch the Red Sox play. We then took another bus to New York for a few nights before flying back.

Unfortunately, the digital camera died in Savannah while Tessa tried to photograph Nick eating a baby alligator. So no more pics after New Orleans. Enjoy.
