prickly pears are edible
and delicious for that matter, but you have to pick them with wooden tongs or something and then burn the needles off, lots of water in them too. they rock. :)

Vocab Lesson
I about fell out of my chair laughing when I read "I decided it would be who of me to sleep in..." I think you meant 'behoove' I love it when we discover something that we thought for so long is completely wrong.... I used to think that Crayons was pronounced 'crowns' until about 8th grade. In 9th grade we taught this girl that when someone sneezes you say "bless you" and not "blush hue" ....yes, she was blonde. BEHOOVE 2. to be worthwhile to, as for personal profit or advantage: It would behoove you to be nicer to those who could help you. ....or..... it would behoove me to sleep in. love ya bro, keep writing! ~E
