wGreat flights from Ft Lauderdale to Dallas and Dallas to Denver. Picked up rental car at National Car Rental which was a breeze. Great rate from Hotwire and we got to pick from a nice group of cars. We ended up with a Chevy Impala. Roomy and yet small enough for great gas mileage. We left Denver around 1:00 PM

Off we go. 367 miles to Lander, Wyoming which was a stop over before reaching Grand Teton, National Park. The drive took approximately 6 hours including a stop for lunch. Very nice scenic drive, with different terrain around every turn. We saw lots of wild horses, bison and deer along the way. Lots of fields of windmills. At least some parts of the country are utilizing some clean energy sources.

Arrived in Lander at 7:00 and checked into Holiday Inn Express. Nice new hotel. Huge room, great shower. We had dinner at Lander Meatloaf Company. Meatloaf was the only thing on the menu. Quaint little restaurant set in a converted little house. Delicious. Not too healthy, but delicious all the same. Tomorrow will be healthier foodwise. That's the plan, anyway.

Saturday, August 21-off to Grand Teton. First up is a float trip on the Snake River.
