Saturday's ride

The gang of six left our house at 5:45 am. I originally was headed to chehalis to read and maybe enjoy the pool. However, the day ended up being more fun than that, as Greg joined the party at the last minute. He has not been on his bike this season, so is counting on his youthfulness (47) and the fact that he goes to a spinning class. Barb just got back from Europe last week, so is not sure how far she will ride. Trudy is driving to Centralia with the girls to see Greg across the first day's finish, so I join them.
They make good time, giving us time to sit by the pool, with the girls in the pool. First time to see Barb, too. I was the sag vehicle for Rachel and Tracy and they arrived around 2:45, a big improvement over last year.
Thanks to Emily Greg and family joined us for an early oversized meal at Kit Carson Restaurant. (Emily agreed to rescue Sophie, the wonder dog for a bladder relief trip to their back yard). We suspect Trudy was the only one awake on the drive home.
