To celebrate 40 years wed, Doreen and I decided to spend a month in north west USA, June-July, visiting en route our Nephew Dennis and Family in Tacoma. On 6 June, we flew British Airways (BA) from Edinburgh to Seattle via Heathrow, causing us the only major problem in our four weeks away. Judging by the hostile messages on the internet about BA, you've probably guessed that they lost my wife's suitcase, probably at Heathrow, including all her clothes and toiletries for four weeks!! Fortunately, Dennis met us at Seattle Airport and drove us to Tacoma. We decided to spend the next day in Seattle to get some replacement clothes and toiletries and to see some sights. BA gave no help at all, no telephone helpline, only an online BA missing baggage procedure that was never updated from the moment we arrived until months after we returned. It might still be there for all we know.
