Snowing in seattle

Since Last week it has been snowing on and off in Seattle.. the drive from Whistler to Seattle there was snow on the ground the entire way.. This is not a normal phenomenon.. Everyone in Seattle is freakin out over the snow, after living in WI for a year I find this very amusing, since people there drive when there is a few inches of snow and ice on the road with no drama. the local news stations are going beserk with coverage. All the local resorts are reporting a solid base and conditions for the weekend should make for some of the best early season skiing I've witnessed.
