The National Museum of the Marine Corps is off I 95 near Quantico Marine Base.
Sunday June 12 DC Day 9
I had planned on going to the Zoo today but they were having their gay pride celebration with the Gay Parade centered on Dupont Circle where the station for the Zoo is.......! Didn't want to come out of the station up into that.....and then have to walk through it to the Zoo.
So I went to the Quantico Marine base where the National Museum of The Marine Corps museum is. Don't reckon there will be any Gay Pride celebration there.
After that I went to eat at the "Old World Buffet" and got to enjoy my meal with 3 busloads of screaming kids. Seriously...... why do kids have to shout everything....can't they just talk.
Finished the day by going back to my campground and doing some homework on The battle of Manasses (Bull Run to you Yankees).
All in all a very good Day.

This is the second flag flown over Iwo Jima. It is the one that is in all the famous photo's. It is enclosed in a glass enclosure.
