We arrived just about the time the Campground Hosts were making there rounds. We shared a laugh about a story they had told us about when we were there last. I had asked if the mountain lions had been around sighted lately and he said that recently a man of asian descent had knocked vigorously on his RV door, shouting 'llountain lion, llountain lion' . When he calmed down he told the story of walking into the restroom whose door had been propped open due to the summer heat and drought. There in a stall drinking from a toilet was a huge mountain lion.

They suggested we try a site that was a former campground host site and it worked out perfectly.

We were very close to the campground perimeter, experienced another of the World Class Big Bend Basin sunsets!
