The South Llano River State Park is just outside Junction. The majority of the park is closed till April to allow for the Turkey "roost". All but about a mile of the river is closed off to allow the turkey's to roost undisturbed. The river is quite beautiful and It would be nice to come back here to swim. The camping areas are open to camping though. Just don't disturb the turkeys!!

Love your photos of the Llano River. Isn't the water beautiful there? So clear. I visited Llano briefly in March 2009, but didn't get the great pictures you did. By the way, how do you get your blog on the home page? I think that is great!

My understanding of how to get on the front page is to have at least 5 followers and at least 600 words of text. Some pictures may be necessary as well although I have had as few as 3 and still got on the front page.
